It's been 2 mths since I updated my blog...I know it's been a long time...lotsa things have happened(gd & bad) and i really dunnoe where to start blogging about it...
It's been 3 mths since I started working...Looking back about it, it started with a stressful note, but now, i must say that my colleagues are fun ppl to work with. We had a BBQ last Fri for Josh, as he's leaving the lab for his PhD...Everybody Loves J-our unpaid tutor & IT personnel(in his own workds)!! Everybody's sad to see him leave..
Anyway, I learnt how to marinate meat on that day...Salmon, chicken, lamb chop, steak...you name it...Thanks to Josh for teaching me...At 1st, it felt wierd to touch the raw meat with your hands (Okie, you may laugh at me but i've never done any cooking in my life..I'm inexperienced!) but I managed it nonetheless.. Drank quite a bit there...Beer, red wine, Vodka, Sake....almost any alcohol that can be found there...And watched a game of Cricket @ V's place...was so tired when i reached home at 2am...Yawn!!!!
Today was Josh's last day @ the lab...We had a farewell lunch with him @ this pretty cool cafe called the "Book Cafe"...You got it...they have a library there where you can read while dining there...The food's okie, but it all matters who you're having it with...Everyone's enjoying themselves but still, you can feel a sense of sadness in the air...especially from Boss.
S & I bought Josh a farewell present..it's a name-plate..we hope that that will motivate him to finish his studies soon to achieve his dreams...Hope you like it Josh...Come to think of it, we met 4 yrs back, when you're doing your thesis and i'm your subject...4 yrs later, we became colleagues & friends...I think this is really amazing...
We'll all miss ya...All the best to ya!
Prayer:" Thank you God, for bringing Josh to the lab for the past 4 yrs, for his help and laughter that fills the lab. God, Josh's leaving for the States this Sunday morning and will be there to complete his PhD...Do bless him as he's all alone there, while his family & friends are here in Singapore missing him. I ask this in the name of your son Jesus Christ. Amen."
